Join us for an engaging dialogue featuring Michael Gurven, Distinguished Professor of Anthropology, as he discusses his new book, Seven Decades: How We Evolved to Live Longer (Princeton University Press). In this session, Professor Gurven will be joined in conversation by Joel Rothman (Director of the Center for Aging and Longevity Science) and Amy Boddy (Professor of Anthropology). Together, they will explore the evolutionary origins of human longevity and address some of the most profound questions of our time: Why do humans live so long, and how should we utilize those extra years? Are we reaching the biological limits of human longevity? How can exploring our hunter-gatherer ancestry help us live healthier lives today? Professor Gurven uncovers new evidence to explain why growing old is an evolutionary opportunity rather than a burden. Following the discussion, please join us for wine and refreshments on the terrace.
