CALS-faculty Affiliate, Michael Beyeler has been awarded the prestigious 2024-2025 Harold J. Plous Award! This honor is given annually to an Assistant Professor from the College of Letters and Science in recognition of exceptional performance and promise, as demonstrated through creative contributions and intellectual engagement within the UCSB community. Michael’s groundbreaking research lies at the intersection of neuroscience, computer science, and human-computer interaction, with the goal of developing a bionic eye to restore high-quality vision for individuals who are blind.
