Nicole Albada wins 2023-24 Distinguished Teaching Award
Academic Senate acknowledges Dr. Albada's extraordinary achievement in her contributions to the teaching mission of UCSB
Dr. Nicole Albada has been recognized for her hard work and achievements through the 2023-24 Faculty Senate Distinguished Teaching Award. This is a campus-wide award that recognizes distinction in faculty members who showcase excellence in teaching and successfully unite teaching and research. Dr. Albada teaches a variety of courses in the Psychological & Brain Sciences Department including: Research Methods, Statistics, and Adult Development and Aging. She also teaches the graduate student TA-training course for the Department. Dr. Albada's most recent course is an interdisciplinary freshman seminar, Longevity & Aging Studies, which showcases for incoming students the multiple ways that aging and longevity is being explored across the UCSB campus. CALS-affiliates are guest-speakers in this course. Dr. Albada's award will be presented at an upcoming Faculty Legislature meeting.
Nicole Albada is a CALS-affiliate from the Psychological and Brain Sciences Department at UCSB and the Director for Education & Outreach of CALS.
